The Lost Empire of The Terracotta Army
Standing in silence.
An emperor’s empire.
The haiku today was in response to the Baffled daily haiku challenge on Twitter. The challenge word is empire. I took the picture while on a business trip to China. This is an image of the unearthed Terracotta Army, which was discovered by a farmer many years ago. Many of the Emperor’s “army” soldiers have been restored to their beauty and placed in their position to protect the emperor. It is a fascinating exhibit which you can learn more about here.
