Yerbaé is A Great Tasting “Energy” Drink
Last week I was heading over to my Orangetheory Fitness class when I stopped by the gas station for a bottle of water. I was feeling sluggish and needed some energy. I didn’t want to get an artificially tasting energy drink and that is when I came across Yerbaé.
Yerbaé is sparkling water with a proprietary blend of Yerba Mate, White Tea extract and Guarana Seed extract.
For those of you not familiar with these ingredients, Yerba Mate is a loose leaf tea from South America that is a natural form of caffeine. The South American fruit guarana is known as a phenomenal antioxidant and a natural antibiotic. And white tea extract is known as a natural anti-inflammatory, as well is known to help improve mental awareness.
Together, these three ingredients help to offer the natural energy that I was craving, all within a delicious tasting sparkling water.
There are actually two different types of Yerbaé. The 0 calorie comes in flavors such as Pineapple Coconut, Strawberry Kiwi and Acai Blueberry. There 0 grams of sugars, 0 calories, is non-GMO and is gluten-free. There are 100 milligrams of caffeine per 12 ounce can.
Alternatively there is the 10 calorie, with only 2 grams of sugars, 10 calories, 125 milligrams per 16 ounce can, is also non-GMO and gluten-free. The 10 calorie comes in flavors such as Mango Passionfruit, Orange Vanilla Dream and Watermelon Strawberry.
Even though I prefer to not eat real watermelon, I love watermelon flavored drinks, candy and bubble gum. Therefore, I knew what I had to do was pick up a can of the Watermelon Strawberry.
Not knowing what to expect, I cracked open my can and began to drink a sip. And then another. Then another. Unlike many artificial energy drinks, this Watermelon Strawberry tasted really good. In fact, I caught myself saying, “Yerbae? No way!”
Not only did the Watermelon Strawberry taste really great, it did not have any of the artificial flavor aftertaste like many energy drinks. And with the natural energy from Yerbaé, I also didn’t have any of jitters that I might normally experience with many energy drinks.
So if you’re looking for water
just like me,
drink a Yerbaé
And this may not be
an “energy” drink,
but it gives you energy
and helps you think.
